A trip to the Zoo

Yesterday we went to the zoo with Grandma and Grandpa Bradley, Aunt Julie, Nick and Alex. It was crazy busy at the zoo but we still had a lot of fun.
First we had a picnic in Forest park. It was hard to find a parking spot or a picnic table. We finally found a whole pavillion that was empty. I guess we were the only ones who wanted to eat next to a tree grinder. We had to shout the whole time but we had 3 preschool boys... shouting comes naturally!
Then we went to the zoo. We went to see the Rhinos first because they look the most like dinosaurs to Nick. (His favorite animal!)
We also saw the Elephants and Alex was really good at saying "Elephant."
Then we saw the Baby Elephant and Alex could say, "Baby and Momma". He is also good at saying, "Chill out, Dude." Here is the chilled out Dude.

We saw a few other animals too and then the boys rode the carousel with Grandma and Grandpa.

After the carousel ride, we all had giant snowcones to cool us down.

All three boys fell asleep in the car on the way home, so I'd say it was a sucessful trip!!

Sounds like Alex is adjusting well. I am so happy for your sister and her family and glad that she is feeling better. WE need to hang out again soon.
