Bellies

My sister in law, Pam, and I are expecting baby boys just 6 weeks apart. We took some pictures of our preggo bellies when we went to a bridal shower together this weekend.

Pam is expecting Jacob in December (or November hopefully :) And I'm expecting Tyson in January. Both babies will have a big brother so we'll have 4 little boys running around together!!

This is Greg's mom, Joyce "Grandma Higgins", with the pregnant ladies!!

5 Generations

On Tuesday we went to visit Logan's Great-Great Grandma. I think it is very special that there are 5 living generations of my family and I wanted to get a picture of Logan with all of his Grandmas.
Logan's Great-Great Grandma is Grandma Harman (Nellie Souder). She is 96 years old. Her daughter, Audre Hunn, is Logan's Great-Grandma. Her daughter (Debby Bradley, my mom) is Logan's Grandma. And of course, I'm Logan's mommy!

We also took pictures with Julie and Nick and Alex and their five generations as well.
Grandma Harman looked like she was doing well and so did her husband Eldred. She sang a song about a thanksgiving turkey to the boys and they sang Happy Birthday to her. We also got to say hello to Aunt Patty and Pete who were there visiting. We didn't stay very long because 3 little boys can fill up a house pretty quick!

My big boy

Logan got to take his lunch to church with him yesterday. We went for Bible study in

the morning and then I stayed for a luncheon and the wonderful nursery workers fed all the kids! He LOVES going to church. If I tell him that is where we are going, he goes and waits by the door. I gave him his lunchbox to hold and he looked like such a big boy standing by the door holding his lunchbox. By the time I went to find the camera, though, he wanted to stand by the door and hold his John Deere tractor instead. But he still looked cute so I snapped a picture of my big boy!

Halloween costume

So, thanks to Aunt Julie, Logan scored an adorable lion costume for Halloween this year off of Craigslist. It was only $5, too. But too bad I bought it before this idea popped up in my head. Don't you think Logan would make an adorable "Grandpa Bradley" for Halloween? All he needs is his flannel shirt, Grandpa's glasses, and a fake mustache. Oh well, maybe next year...

17 months old

Logan turned 17 months on Thurdsay, October 1.

He's at such a fun age now. He loves to run around outside and he thinks he's big enough to play with the neighbor kids. Luckily, we have some very sweet kids in our neighborhood and they include him and are gentle with him. He's gotten to jump in the leaves with them and play ball with them. He likes to play in the dirt, eat the dirt, wear the dirt and pick up rocks... just like daddy. (umm... let's change that. Daddy likes to pick up rocks and play in the dirt. I don't think he likes to eat dirt!)

He also loves to sing. He can sing Happy Birthday. He sings, "Happy to you. Happy to you... " over and over and over... He also loves the wheels on the bus. He does the actions for round and round, and then he wants to do the verses "The babies on the bus go waah, waah, waah. The mommies on the bus go, shh. shh. shh." He does the waah, waah, and then puts his finger on his mouth to do shh! He also tries to sing Baa, baa, black sheep... which goes "Baa, baa, baa, sheep, yes sir, yes sir" and his all time favorite, "Jesus loves me."

He loves to dance too. He likes to watch the video of Grandma's church choir and clap along. The other day, he saw Mariah Carey on TV and he was swaying with his arms over his head to her music.

He's also started saying short sentences. The first one was, "I pooped." (lovely) and now he says, "I want... (fish, apple juice, etc). " It's nice that he can communicate his needs. If we don't understand him, he'll try and just do it himself. This is not so helpful when he opens the pantry and helps himself to goldfish!

He loves to go to church. He gets so excited when we get into the parking lot. He gets to go on Sunday mornings and Wednesday mornings now. He loves his teacher, "Mr. Don". He loves to play in the playhouse in Sunday school and go down the slide.

He also loves to play with "Neeeck" (Nick) and "Al-la-la" (Alex). He loves going to Grandma and Grandpas and especially loves jumping on the trampoline.

I can't wait to see how much he changes in the next few months. He's been developing so quickly lately. He is a sweet, busy, active, independent little guy. I think he'll be a great big brother, too!
