Take Me Out to the Ball Game

On Easter weekend, Logan got a special surprise... a Saturday ball game with daddy. Logan and Greg took in Logan's first game at Busch Stadium. I wasn't there so maybe Greg should blog this... well, I'll just convey the stories he told me.

When they got there, Logan was completely captivated and stood at this rail and stared for a looong time.

Here's the view from their seats and the St. Louis skyline.

They found their seats and setttled in. Logan was still a little overwhelmed by all the loud music.

But after he got snacks and a balloon and a Sprite, he started to enjoy himself.

He even started clapping! Go Cards!

They made it to the 7th inning until the tarps came out.

I forgot to ask who won the game... well, I guess they left before it got over. I know that Pujols hit a homerun and there were fireworks. Logan tells Tyson about this frequently. He also tells him, "You too little to go. you have to get big."
In other news, Logan LOVES to play baseball. He'll assign the positions, "You be the thrower, I'll be the hitter." If I pitch to him and he misses, he says, "Try again Mommy." He's already got that male ego going-- of course he couldn't have missed it, it MUST be momma's pitching! He's pretty decent at hitting the ball now and he doesn't even use the tee anymore. I'm pretty sure his athleticism has now surpassed him mommy's.

Easter Continued

After church, we went to Festus to Grandma and Grandpa Bradley's house.
Nick and Alex were there and Logan and Tyson were ready to play with them.

The kids played with toys from the Easter bunny.

We ate.

We ate other things besides cookies but these were my contribution.

And we had an egg hunt.

It was raining outside so we hunted in the basement.
Each boy was assigned a color so there were no fights!

Tyson mostly just wanted to drive the car!!

Then we went upstairs and checked out the goodies.

Tyson's favorite thing was this ring pop.

It made quite a mess!

A good Easter was had by all!!

The boys fell asleep in the car. Tyson was asleep before we even hit the highway-- Logan shortly after. We woke them up when we got home and tried to get them to eat supper. Apparently they had already consumed all of their daily calories in SUGAR.
