Tis the Season...

...to make Christmas cards. On Sunday I made Logan and Greg dress for our family Christmas picture so that I could get our family Christmas card made. I wanted to order photo cards this year (simple and easy) and snapfish was running a sale. If you read my other blog, you know that I LOVE sales. The deal was that you could get 20 cards for 20 cents.... that's a penny a card. I couldn't resist. But I had to order by Sunday, Nov. 23.

Unfortunately our Sunday turned into a busy day and by the time we had the photo taken Logan was one tired baby. He's actually about to cry in this photo but it sort of looks like a smile. We thought it might look like a smile to other people but once I got it on the computer, I changed my mind.

We ended up picking this photo. Maybe not the most awesome family picture ever but it will hold memories of our first Christmas. Plus, the card is really cool... but you will have to wait and get one!

I'm a BIG kid now...

Logan loves to do "big kid" stuff now. He thinks he is so grown up. He's now 6 1/2 months old and I can't believe how fast he is growing up!

Good morning!

Can you guess what this is?
That's right. It's Logan sleeping like a crazy man. He twists and turns all night long and now that he's 30 in. long, he occassionally gets himself all tangled up.

He's not really a morning person.
But once I get him to wake up and look at me, I usually get a morning smile. Awww...

Mommy's Birthday

Since Greg is deer hunting on my birthday, we celebrated yesterday. My parents and Julie and Nick took Logan and me to St. Louis Mills Mall. Greg works right down the street from the mall so he met us at Steak 'n Shake for lunch. Then he had to go back to work... so he missed all the fun shopping and the rides at the mall.

Nick and Grandpa played on the playground and rode rides while Grandma shopped with Logan.

On my actual birthday- today. Logan and I hung out with Julie and Kaylee. We had a lot of fun shopping and eating lunch. I would have taken pictures of Kaylee and Logan but Greg took the camera so he can take pictures of his deer. (It's ok, I would rather see a picture of a bloody deer than see a bloody deer in his pickup truck in our driveway.)

The results are in...

No, not the election results. I'm not as politically crazed as the rest of the country! The IMPORTANT results. The results of Logan's doctors appointment yesterday. I can never wait to see how much he has grown every few months. So here they are. Logan is now 30 in. long. He weighs 18 lbs. 10 oz. He is off the charts for height. He is in the 80th percentile for weight.
He was so good at the doctors office. He had to get 5 shots and 1 oral vaccine. He did cry but by the time I took him back to the front he was smiling and laughing again for the nurses.
The next few months should be interesting. The doctor wants him to start drinking out of a cup... that's a cup without a lid. He wants him off breastfeeding by his next appointment (that will be 9 mo.). He can drink juice and whole milk now. He can sleep on his tummy. Basically all the "no-nos" from our baby classes are now a go. Ah, my baby boy is growing up!

Baby smiles!

If Logan was wishing for his 2 front teeth for Christmas, then Christmas has come early!

Look closely, bottom front 2 teeth are through!

Halloween

Logan was a puppy dog for Halloween! On Halloween day Grandma and Grandpa Bradley and Great Grandma Hunn came over to see Logan in his costume.

On Halloween night we passed out candy. We had about 20-30 trick-or-treaters.

Pumpkin Carving

Oh my goodness, we had a busy, busy weekend! We started last Wednesday with pumpkin carving, went to Bounce U on Thursday night with friends, had Grandma Hunn up to see Logan and our house on Friday, celebrated Halloween at home on Friday night, went to Grandma Higgins 90th birthday party on Saturday night, and then church on Sunday. Glad that is DONE! I have a lot of pictures to post so I'll probably break it down into a few blogs.
On Wednesday we carved pumpkins. Apparently all stores run out of pumpkins 2 days before Halloween. I finally found 2 little ones at Schnucks. They were the last 2 pumpkins in the city of Arnold. But it was fun because Greg and I had a carving contest. His was way better but after I figured in all of my handicaps: I had to sort out all of the seeds, roast the seeds, take care of the baby, nurse the baby, and put the baby to bed... I declare myself the winner. Plus, I write this blog, so I can write whatever I want! Here are pictures of our pumpkin carving fun.

Getting closer to bedtime...

Pumpkin fun is over, time for a bath.

All clean!

Seriously ready for bed. No more pictures, Mommy!

Logan had to wait until the next morning to see the final product.
