Look who's talking...

So, Logan "talks" all the time now. It sounds like some weird foreign language. He gets super excited when Greg and I will take the time to sit and listen to him. He points all around the room and gets louder and louder and louder. Oh yes, the kid can talk. Sometimes random words in English pop out of him mouth and sometimes it just fits into the conversation.

Like last night, I was telling Greg about Logan wanting me to sing Twinkle, twinkle little star. (I taught Logan actions to the song so now he does them and sings -- not to any tune--"ah, ah, ah, ah,ah, UH" Those are the words to all songs in Logan's world by the way. )
So our conversation went like this:
Me: So apparently, This (hand motion for Twinkle, twinkle) followed by Ma-MA. Now means 'I want YOU to sing Twinkle, Twinkle. He did it all through Walmart until I had to sing the song in Walmart and then he was quiet. But he just kept doing it...
Logan: All Day
Greg and I just sat there in shock for a minute. It was SO weird.

He also likes to copy what we say since he can't really talk yet. Greg will say, "AH-AH-AH-CHO" and Logan will say, "AH-AH-AH- and then blow with his lips"

The other word in his vocabulary (the only useable one) is "bye, bye". It's more like, "Ba-Ba". My mom swears he said, "Bye, Bye, Grandma" but those Grandma's have funny ears. They hear what they want to hear :)

It did sort-of sound like bye bye grandma last week. Teach him to say bye bye Aunt Julie this week.
Grandmas also think that when you get your new kid in China (who speaks fluent Chinese only) and they take a two hour nap, they wake up being able to speak English.
